Emergency & Transitional Housing:
The Kelowna Women’s Shelter is a safe, comfortable and confidential place to stay. We provide food and other essentials, individualized domestic abuse recovery support, and help with transportation and childcare wherever possible. Our shelter currently has eight comfortable bedrooms, a shared kitchen and living space, an indoor playroom and lounge area, a fully private and secluded outdoor green area, and a children’s playground all on-site. Call 250-763-1040. Or email support@kelownawomensshelter.ca.
Outreach and Support:
The Outreach Worker provides short-term case management services to women living in the community who have experienced or who are living with domestic abuse. While women’s experiences are unique, services may include safety planning, abuse education, emotional support, systems navigation, referrals and assistance accessing community resources. The Outreach program is an alternative option for women who do not want to or need to enter the shelter. Services can be provided in a safe location that meets the individual needs of each woman. You can contact the Outreach worker by email: outreach@kelownawomensshelter.ca.
Or call our admin line at 778-478-7774.

Second Stage Housing (WISH):
Survivors of domestic abuse often need a longer period of safe, supportive, and affordable housing before transitioning into their own homes and a new life free of abuse. WISH (Women’s Interim Supportive Home) allows women who meet the eligibility criteria, and have stayed at our shelter to live for up to one year in a supportive environment with other women and provides easy access to our staff and services. Please Note: External applications for WISH will not be accepted.
